Vertical Horizon is known to be formed in 1991 by students of Georgetown University Matt Scannell and Keith Kane. The duo moved to Boston to issue heir debut recording- self-issued LP called There and Back Again, which was successful enough and received much praise. The band issued their second release in 1995, and it was called Running on Ice.
