The Jesus and Mary Chain released its first single entitled "Upside Down" in 1984. The record had a great success in England; the "You Trip Me Up" single followed it the next year. The group's debut full-length album called Psychocandy appeared also in 1985. The LP was commercially successful and was followed by the band's second album named Darklands.
