The Shadows group was founded by Bruce Welch and Hank Marvin (guitars), Tony Meehan (drums), and Terry "Jet" Harris (bass) in 1960. In the early 60's the quartet recorded and released a couple of popular singles: "Man of Mystery" (1960) and "Kon-Tiki" (1961). In 1963 the Shadows issued the "Wonderful Land" hit, which was followed by "Foot Tapper" the same year.
