The Los Angeles-based group the Adolescents was founded in 1980 by Tony Cadena (singer), Frank Agnew (guitar player), Steve Soto (bass player), and Peter Pan (drummer). The following year the band issued its first eponymous album on Frontier Records. Only Theatre of Pain followed in 1982. The full-length Balboa Fun*Zone appeared in 1988.
