The post-alternative group Super Furry Animals appeared in Cardiff, Wales, in 1993. Singers and guitarists Gruff Rhys and Huw "Bunf" Bunford, keyboardist Cian Ciaran, bassist Guto Pryce, and drummer Dafydd Ieuan founded the band. Their first EP, In Space, was issued on the Ankst label. The group's second EP called Moog Droog followed the record.
