The Los Angeles-based punk-band Social Distortion was founded in 1978 by vocalist and guitar player Mike Ness, guitarist Rikk Agnew, his brother bassist Frank Agnew, and drummer Casey Royer. In the early 80's Frank and Rikk Agnew left the band and were replaced by bassists Dennis Danell and Brent Liles. Besides, new drummer Derek O'Brien replaced Casey Royer.
