The Canadian group named Slik Toxik appeared in Toronto in 1988. The lineup consisted of Nick Walsh and Dave Mercel (both: vocals), Kevin Gale and Rob Bruce (both: guitar), Neil Busby (drums), and Pat Howarth (bass). In the early 90's they signed the music contract with Capitol/EMI, which released the band's full-length debut entitled Doin' the Nasty in 1992.
