The Britist metal group named Skyclad appeared in Newcastle in 1990. The band's lineup included the former Sabbat member Martin Walkyier (vocals), and ex-Pariah members: Keith Baxter (drums) and Steve Ramsey (guitar). They signed their first professional contract with the German Noise International label.
