Shivaree's name was derivated from a word which means a drunken serenade. Ambrosia Parsley who was born in the San Fernando Valley formed the band. Together with guitarist Duke McVinnie and keyboardist Danny McGough she released their debut called I Oughtta Give You a Shot in the Head for Making Me Live in This Dump in Henry's backyard.
