The Swedish heavy metal band Shadows Fall appeared in Gothenburg in the middle 90's. Phil Lebonte (vocals), David Germain (drums), and Paul Romanko (bass) founded the group. Their first full-length self-released album entitled Somber Eyes to the Sky appeared in 1997.
