Sammy Hagar began his music career, after he had give up boxing. He sang in such California rock groups as Dust Cloud, Fabulous Catillas, Montrose, Skinny, and Justice Brothers. In 1976 Hagar founded his own group with Geoff Workman (keyboards), Denny Carmassi (drums), Bill Church (bass). They released Hagar's self-titled album, which went gold.
