About Weezer
Appearing in the rock world as grunge rock was with one foot out the door, Weezer were received with praise and a share of criticism. While some loved their music, others found Weezer as overly geeky, their guitar pop hooks annoying and their 70s references lacking authenticity. Weezer band members took this with humor, as they did everything else in the music, as they continued to release five albums.
