About Tricky
The Bristol "trip hop" sound of the 80s and 90s is to a large extent a product of this English rapper and producer - Tricky. The sound that is heard in Tricky's music and in project he has produced or taken part in is usually dark, multi-layered and intense. As much a rocker and a hip hop artist, Tricky recorded one of the best albums of the 90s with Maxinquaye, his solo debut.
