Traffic formed in Birmingham, England in 1967, a rock band featuring Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Chris Wood and Dave Mason. The four musicians collaborated on writing their songs, together creating a progressive sound that was influenced by the Beatles and the Band as much as it was original and uniquely Traffic.
