Combining punk and funk, reggae and ska in the late 80s, Sublime appeared on the music scene around the time that The Offspring and Green Day have, but has consistently remained in the more light and carefree side. The third-wave ska revival owes a lot to Sublime, whose self-titled third album gained them, and the style at large, great recognition and popularity.
