Stevie Ray Vaughan was one of the most influential electric blues guitarists in the US. His tragic death in 1990 serves as an example for the role that Stevie Ray Vaughan had over the entire world of music, blues and rock alike. His final gig ended with an encore jam alongside guests Jimmie Vaughan (Stevie Ray's brother), Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy and Robert Cray. Flying to the next stop on his tour following the concert, Stevie Ray Vaughan's helicopter crashed, killing all five passengers.
