Although Soundgarden achieved its peak success with the 1994 album Superunknown, a multi-platinum selling album that included hits such as Spoonman and Black Hole Sun, it has had an impact with its mere formation ten years earlier. Soundgarden is considered one of the nominal groups in the development of the Seattle sound, better known as the grunge scene.
