About Smashing Pumpkins
The rather unsuccessful career of Billy Corgan after disbanding the Smashing Pumpkins in 2000 for what turned out to be a six year hiatus, proves their significant contribution in their masterful albums Gish, Siamese Dreams and to some degree also Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. The Smashing Pumpkins have no doubt been in the center of the fringe, as paradoxical as that may sound, which also explains the reason they fell out of favor later on after their initial burst of creative energy.
