Standing Hampton, the most popular Sammy Hagar's album, was issued in 1981, the record had a great success and went platinum. The Three Lock Box LP appeared the following year. In 1985, Hagar joined the Van Halen band; he left the group in 1996 to continue his solo career. After that he produced Marching to Mars (1997), Red Voodoo (1999), Ten 13 (2000), Not 4 Sale (2003), Live: Hallelujah (2003), Livin' It Up! (2006).
