Each of the members of Rush who since 1974 have remained bassist, keyboardist, and vocalist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson and drummer and lyricist Neil Peart, has been regarded on his instrument for his virtuosity. As a band, Rush records music that showcases these skills, with complex compositions and literate lyrics that make for some of the most sophisticated progressive rock music of the 70s and beyond.
