About Roxy Music
English art rock band and early glam rock founders Roxy Music recorded literate and sophisticated music that was influenced by progressive rock bands of the 60s but delved into new directions, driven by pure artistic ambition and experimentation. Roxy Music enjoyed the support of a dedicated cult following, absolute critical praise but never much more in the sense of popularity, until the release of the Lennon cover in 1981 of Jealous Guy.
