About Portishead
Portishead are a band made of two, the multi-instrumentalist Geoff Barrow and singer Beth Gibbons. They formed in 1991 and have released only two studio albums, though extremely influential across genres well in the current decade. Portishead's ties with Massive Attack and Tricky, all of whom are based in Bristol, have earned their style the term trip-hop.
