Brit-pop bands and guitarists have been influenced greatly by Paul Weller, who ahs also enjoyed considerable commercial success on the UK charts (though not on the US ones). Paul Weller has even been invited to play guitar early in his career on Peter Gabriel's self titled album in 1980.
