About New Order
Post-punk and electronic dance came together in New Order's music, making them one of the most important bands to come from Manchester since 1980, influential and exciting with their music throughout the years, until the breakup of 2007. New Order were the first post-punk band to embrace dance music and synthesizers, driving not only dancers to the dance floors but also a large number of musicians from around the alternative rock scene to record their own alternative style music.
