Arguably the fathers of grindcore, certainly the first to coin the term and largely the band with the most influence on the genre's meaning, Napalm Death took metal to the next level, where it met punk. Melody cast aside, Napalm Death ridded itself from good taste as well, exploding with their fast guitars and guttural vocals over the speakers at high decibel volume.
