Take for example his duet with Sheryl Crow in 2001. The song Pictures was a cross-genre success, exposing Kid Rock to a new audience. Another such collaboration took place a short time later, when Kid Rock collaborated with Chuck D and Grandmaster Flash from Run DMC at the VH1 awards that year.
