An automobile accident in the 60s changed the course of Julio Iglesias from becoming a goalkeeper for the soccer club Real Madrid, of whose youth team he was a member, to becoming a lawyer to finally becoming the greatest Latin pop vocalist of all time. Winning a prize in a competition, after already graduating from law school, led Julio Iglesias to pursue the music career he was destined for.
