Scottish rockers Primal Scream are named after John Lennon, more accurately after the Primal therapy he practiced with Dr. Arthur Janov. In John Lennon's music, the effects of this therapy can be noticed in his album John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band from 1970. The song Mother, in which he screams Mama don't go!/Daddy come home! and God, in which he lists all the things he does not believe in, express the release the primal scream mediated.
