About Ice T
Like other former gang members, Ice T was a member of South Central's Crips. He has even performed the Crip walk on stage in the 80s, in front of the cameras, thus becoming even more controversial than he already was, having used the words nigga and ho in his rapping and having, been a pimp in his past on the streets of LA. For these reasons Ice T is regarded as a revolutionary, the founder of gangsta rap.
