About Herbie Hancock
In the 60s, while playing with Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock was still reluctant to use the electric keyboards. At Davis' insistence, he played the instruments, including the Fender Rhodes electric piano, elements that would become practically synonymous with Herbie Hancock in future endeavors. The spirit of Miles David's jazz carried over to future Hancock projects, mixing genres and inventing altogether new sounds.
