About Green Day
Green Day were punk revivalists at first, with their debut release Dookie, which went on to sell 8 million copies. They then fell off the radar for a while, with two mediocre albums, but in 2004, ten years after Green Day's first appearance on the scene, they released American Idiot, a critically acclaimed and commercially successful album that reached the top of charts on both sides of the Atlantic and in many places around the world.
