About Grateful Dead
Grateful Dead, or simply the Dead, as their fans call the band, was formed in San Francisco in 1965 and can be said to have played music that was influenced by Howlin' Wolf, Buddy Holly and Bob Dylan, or simply said – under the influence. The drug culture and peace loving natured folk of the day embraced the new act and helped the Grateful Dead complete 30 years of lively and vital music recordings and performances.
