About Echo and The Bunnymen
A mix of post punk, keeping the gloomy atmosphere and the haircuts both, and psychedlic influences from the Doors among others, make up the classic Echo and the Bunnymen sound. At first, Echo and the Bunnymen sounded peculiar and drew only a cult following, but a few years later, as the 80s arrived, the band broke into the UK Top Ten with The Cutter and they added commercial success to the critical acclaim they already enjoyed.
