About Dire Straits
After releasing their breakthrough album, Brothers in Arms, the dire Straights went onj hiatus for a couple of years. When they returned, they released "On Every Street" in the fall of 1991 to great anticipation.However, the album failed to meet the expectations. It only went platinum in America and it didn't crack the U.K. Top 40. when the Dire Straights went on tour for the aqlbum, many tickets went unsold. It seemed that in their absence, the Dire Straights had lost their audiences.
