About Dire Straits
The sixth and most famous album that the Dire Straights released was Brothers in Arms and it was an international blockbuster, and a really good album to boot. The band, along with other aging rockers, become one of the leaders of a group of self-consciously mature veteran rock & rollers in the late '80s that designed their music to appeal to aging baby boomers.
