Deep Purple saw their first success in the US with a single, a cover version of the song Hush. The song would later appear on Shades of Deep Purple, their 1968 album. The song has received many versions over the years, most recent one by Kula Shaker. It was Deep Purple's first hit landing at the number 4 spot on the US charts.
