About Deep Purple
Deep Purple have changed their line up often over the years, have even disbanded for eight years and then returned for a couple of reunions. It is the line-up called Deep Purple Mark 2 that includes Ian Gillan with vocals, Richard Blackmore on guitar, Jon Lord playing back on keyboards, and Roger Glover and Ian Paice on the rhythm section. The sound created by this group of talented musicians would become one of the most recognizable sounds in rock music to this day.
