Deee-Lite combined a funky attitude with modern dance music, behind eccentric figures such as Lady Miss Kier and her orange hair. The hit single, which reached the top of dance charts practically everywhere, featured also a guest rap appearance of Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest. Deee-Lite have kept their upbeat music also in later songs and albums, though with a more politically loaded agenda, to considerably lesser success.
