About Dave Brubeck
The Dave Brubeck Quartet included, besides Dave Brubeck himself, the alto saxophonist Paul Desmond. Together, usually in San Francisco, the Dave Brubeck Quartet would play jazz standards that they wrote themselves, often experimenting with time signatures, such as in the case of Take Five, a famous song of theirs that is in 5/4 time. Other songs are in 6/4, 7/8 and 9/8.
