Coming from Cologne, Germany, Can have never really enjoyed international success with their sometimes-difficult and experimental sounds. Can have hardly ever enjoyed success on a national level, either, except perhaps with the singles Spoon and I Want More), but their influence on New Wave bands (hardly commercially successful themselves as well) has been predominant.
