About Beastie Boys
The Beastie Boys are an oddity on the rap and hip hop scene. Coming from Brooklyn, Adam Yauch, Michael Diamond (Mike D) and company first played punk music when they were still in their teens. A few years later, with producer Rick Rubin entering the picture, the Beastie Boys have become a rap band, the genre they stick with to this day, although constantly redefining the borders of the style.
