About Adam and The Ants
Adam and the Ants took punk music to a more theatrical direction, adding glam to the young punk movement of 1977 and creating what could be called glam-punk. The band's singles and albums were accompanied by music videos that took advantage of the young MTV channel, helping Adam and the Ants reach larger crowds and setting the path for later fashions and music styles, such as the New Romantics.
