About 13th Floor Elevators
Founded in the rock music capital Austin, Texas in 1965, the 13th Floor Elevators were only half famous for Roky Erickson's lyrics and the band's garage rock sound. They would later become successful around rock music circles and there first single, You're Gonna Miss Me, would break through the state borders of Texas and become an underground classic.
